It's pretty obvious. It's clear from the gaping bloody hole in her chest and the lifeless look in her eyes. It's clear from the way she doesn't respond, no matter how hard he shakes her. He knows better to keep trying, but he can't stop himself. His hands shake her shoulders, calling her name over and over again, and the tears stream down his face, but he can't stop.
